Make your reservations at the Grand Hyatt online or by phone. Please reference the RCA to receive the discounted room rate of $199.  This rate is offered through February 27, 2012 and is subject to availability. Cancellations may be made up to 72 hours prior to arrival. 

Please note: It has come to our attention that an unaffiliated organization named 'Convention Housing Services' has been contacting members and requesting personal information to book accommodation for the conference. RCA does not endorse this company; please do not respond to any solicitations offering discount rooms. 

Event Locations

The majority of conference events will take place at the headquarters hotel and the adjacent Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.  The conference registration desk, educational workshops and sessions, meals and breaks, and Culinology Expo will all be centrally located at the convention center (on the river level), which is a short walk from the hotel. 

Thursday evening's Opening Reception will take place at the Grotto at the convention center, on the river level.  A few additional events, including tours, golf, and other special events, will take place offsite.  If you register for these events, you will receive an e-mail with transportation and location information prior to the conference.

Discounted Car Rental

RCA has arranged for discounted car rental rates through Avis. When making your car rental reservations, contact Avis at (800) 331-1600 or online. Provide the Avis Worldwide Discount (AWD) Number D256980 for the RCA discount.

Other Ground Transportation

Ground transportation is located curbside in front of Terminal A and B baggage claim area. Uniformed transportation agents (wearing red shirts) can describe services and provide rates to various destinations. The average, one-way taxi fare is $25-$29 to the downtown area.

You can also take the SATRANS Shuttle, the city's official airport shuttle, between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. daily. Shuttle tickets are sold at the baggage claim area in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
