Job Description: 

Student interns will work in the New Product Development department, helping to create new products, improve current products, assist in scale-up, production trials, assemble documentation for ingredient decs and nutritionals, prepare bench samples for product presentations, shopping, cleaning, all around lab assistance. This is a very labor-intensive, hand's-on position. Ability to work hard, lift 50 lbs, be on your feet for hours at a time, thrive under pressure, arrive early and stay late, team player, "can-do" attitude, willing to do whatever needs to be done....all essential.

Education: 

Must be students enrolled in Food Science, Culinology, or Culinary Science degree programs, Junior or higher, minimum GPA of 3.0, recent graduates may also apply.

Work Experience: 

Knowledge of food processing/food science important. Beneficial to have had some culinary/food development/food manufacturing experience.

Compensation: 

$12.50/hr

Greencore USA is a manufacturer of private label refrigerated, short shelf life foods for retail grocery, convenience store, "big box" store and other "take-away" food outlets. We mass manufacture approximately 600 different food items, including "wet" salads (potato, cole slaw, pasta salad, tuna, chicken, egg, etc.), "leaf" salads, sandwiches, refrigerated entrees and side dishes, quiche, pot pies, bread puddings, etc. We package them in bulk for the supermarkets to decant and serve as "store made", and also provide pre-packed retail packages with store labeling for their customers to take out as convenient, ready to eat meal components, or heat-and-heat meals.
