Aubrey Coffee

Dr. Aubrey Coffee holds the position of Lecturer and Sensory Coordinator in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Clemson University.  She teaches courses in Culinary Science, Food Science, and mentoring a team of undergraduate researchers investigating the "Evolution of Gingerbread Recipes", as well as being responsible for the operation of the Sensory Program. Coffee also conducts industry and professional seminars in Flavor Development and Sensory Evaluation in the Culinary Classroom.

Her experience in the culinary and educational field spans over 23 years.  She has held educational positions at The Applied Technology Education Campus, Camden, SC; Johnson & Wales University, Charleston, SC; The Univ. SC, Columbia, SC; Tri-County Community College, Pendleton, SC; and numerous community classes in baking & pastry, as well as a featured chef on several television programs in Charleston and Greenville, and on Food Network's "Unwrapped" program.
 
Dr. Coffee received her PhD in Food Technology from Clemson University, her Baking Science and Technology degree from the American Institute of Baking, and her B.S. in Food Service Management from Johnson & Wales University.  She has received numerous educational and professional awards and is active in the following professional organizations: RCA, IFT, MANRRS, and ICES.
