Mirko Zuehlke

I was born and raised in a small town in the north of Germany close to the Baltic Sea. During my early years my father ran three large bakery plants and I have fond memories of my first jobs there and smelling fresh bread. After High School I apprenticed in a bakery to become a Certified Baker – a few years later I was awarded the Certified Master Baker designation. For nine years I lived in Berlin - Germany where I enrolled at the University of Technology to earn my Master of Engineering in Food Technology and Processing and an MBA with a Marketing focus. During this time I also worked with several food companies on a project and consulting basis.
BakeMark Ingredients recruited me in 1998 to work in Pico Rivera and I moved to California. I held various Marketing and Technical Positions over nine years. Two of my favorite jobs were leading the Technical Support Department and my years as the National Marketing Manager.
Since October 2007 I am the Western Region Sales Manager for T. Hasegawa Flavors.
In my free time I like to cook and explore wineries in California.
