A sustainable food system is defined by the United Nations as a “system that delivers food security and nutrition for all in such a way that the economic, social and environmental bases to generate food security and nutrition for future generations are not compromised.” This webinar will cover several examples of how beef production fits into a sustainable food system including beef cattle’s upcycling superpower, how beef production allows us to generate delicious and high-quality protein from lands unsuitable for cultivation, and the progress that the U.S. beef industry has made over time to become more environmentally efficient.
