Our team of Chefs, R&D scientists and lab technicians develop new products employing a unique creative process, that helps anticipates trends to create custom recipes for our customers.

Core Accountabilities:

  • Innovation Lead:
    • Work with President, Sales, Continuous Improvement and Senior Management creating appropriate process for Innovation at Celtrade
    • Develop and execute against Celtrade Innovation strategy 
  • Market Research
    • Augment assessment of market opportunities and specific customer gaps 
    • Attending food shows, culinary events and completing in-market research 
    • Accessing and leveraging market research 
    • Maintaining key relationships with customers, Celtrade affiliates and industry partners
  • Customer Presentation Lead
    • Plan and execute relevant and compelling customer presentations
    • Develop end use applications
    • Prepare product descriptions, romance and recipes for existing and new products
  • Product Champion
    • Direct product development from an organoleptic and culinary standpoint
    • Participate in product cuttings, tastings ensuring that all product from R&D meets Celtrade standards for quality
    • Provide direction to the R&D process from a culinary and organoleptic standpoint
  • Technical Sales
    • Work closely with Sales to drive new concepts
    • Interface with customers to provide key technical and culinary support
  • Key Attributes
    • Excellent culinary skillset and keen palate
    • Capacity to lead teams, large and small in detailed, complex projects
    • Proven ability to maintain effective and timely communication with internal and external customers
    • Customer facing presentation and customer service skills are required. 
    • Results oriented individual with a passion for delivering exceptional results
    • Understanding of business models, business analysis & KPI measurements
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of professional culinary experience
    • Minimum 5 years product development experience in a relevant category (sauces, marinades, dips and emulsions)
    • University Degree OR College Diploma – Ideally in Food Science
    • Culinary Degree / Accreditation is essential
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, MS Project experience and / or Access are essential

Education: University Degree OR College Diploma – Ideally in Food Science

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional culinary experience
  • Minimum 5 years product development experience in a relevant category (sauces, marinades, dips and emulsions)
  • University Degree OR College Diploma – Ideally in Food Science
  • Culinary Degree / Accreditation is essential
