Job Description:
Each Regional Sales Manager is based out of their home offices and travel approximately 50% of their time meeting with current and potential customers to develop their territory. This position is intended to expand our existing accounts; thus you will be required to cold call as well as utilize existing contacts within the food industry. You need to be a strong communicator who is driven, energetic, organized, and professional. You will be expected to be personable and creative in reaching out to potential clients. This position reports directly to the Senior VP of Sales & Marketing.

We work as a sales team, so clear and concise communication on all account activity will be expected to avoid confusion, and to provide a united front to all customers. We are looking for accounts to be cultivated for long term business relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
· Calling on existing customers and developing relationships further grow the size of your territory
· Prospect for new business conduct sales calls and visit clients to develop new business
· Manage Customer specific projects from inception to commercialization
· Work closely with various departments to ensure the needs of your accounts are met or exceeded
· Participation in regional and national food and ingredient shows including coordination of deadlines and requirements with marketing.
Education:
Required Background:

· A College Degree
· Minimum 5 years’ experience with contacts within the food industry
· Highly motivated and able to work from a home office
· Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form
· Travel 50%+
· Ability to work in both a collaborative and independent environment
· Strong sales skills
