Professional Competitions
There will be two Professional Culinology® competitions to compete in – the National Savory Culinology® Competition and the National Pastry Culinology® Competition – each themed on the cuisine of Puerto Rico.
Student Competitions
There will be two Student Culinology® competitions to compete in – the National Savory Culinology® Competition and the National Pastry Culinology® Competition - designed for student teams.
Evolution of Food Waste Competition
The purpose of the competition is to:
- Provide a network between students, professionals and the industry in the RCA;
- Challenge students to create a food product using common waste byproducts produced by the industry and reduce wastage within the industry;
- Challenge students to use concepts in Culinology® and apply them towards a sustainable food product concept; and
- Promote student work and develop connections within the industry to provide a platform that will allow students to spotlight their talents.
Culinology® Cocktail Competition
Culinologists go head-to-head to earn the title of ‘Star of the Bar.' During the contest each entrant must create and demonstrate a single serving cocktail using Flavor Dynamics flavors and rum. Cocktails will be evaluated by Afterglow attendees – the attendee favorite wins!
Poster Presentation
Engage in a learning environment that supports quality interaction and a continuous exchange of ideas and new developments by submitting abstracts for a Culinology® Poster Presentation.
