Back by popular demand, the Southeastern Mills Culinary Education Team has put together their signature Hot Sauce 101 seminar for attendees to take part through Zoom! They have adapted this program so that guests will be able to experience the original seminar through our computer screens. 

Trust me, this is not an event you'll want to miss. Registration will include a sample kit* with the ingredients needed for the tasting part of the presentation (including full bottles of several different hot sauces for you to enjoy at home)! This educational experience will earn you two Continuing Education Credits.

Presentation Information:

Hot Sauce 101, presented by Chef Nick Landry, Chef Hadley Katzenbach and Elisa Gumbel, Southeastern Mills.

  • Agenda: Chef Hadley will kick off the education portion followed by Chef Nick who will conduct a full cooking demonstration, closing with a full product tasting and discussion.
  • The hot sauce category shows no signs of cooling down! Hop online and learn all about what’s heating things up with Southeastern Mills, the makers of The Original Louisiana Hot Sauce. You will learn the history of how peppers came to America, the anatomy of the pepper and process used to make hot sauce. Not only will you expand your knowledge on all things hot sauce, but you will taste a variety of hot sauce brands to learn how differences in ingredients and process can impact flavor and taste.
