Join the Greater Northwestern Arkansas for "Plant to Plate - A Spring Greens Harvest and Tasting"

The Greater Northwest Arkansas RCA Region is partnering with Cobblestone Farms and Brightwater for Plant to Plate – A Spring Greens Harvest and Tasting. Join us and learn all about greenhouse growing and modern plating! To kick off the event we’ll learn about the new Cobblestone Farms greenhouse, located at Brightwater. You’ll have the opportunity to get your hands dirty and pick microgreens, lettuce, and vegetables. Then, we’ll take those freshly picked greens into the Brightwater kitchens and have a plating competition! Each member will get to pack a box of greens to take home and enjoy. Members will also receive 1.5 credit hours for this event.

  • Cobblestone Farms is a local non-profit passionately committed to hunger relief by donating over half of production to local food agencies in NWA. Our mission is to grow fresh food locally so we can support and teach the community the role fresh food has on health, wellness and a sustainable future. The Cobblestone Farm aids in the fight against hunger by growing and distributing certified naturally grown produce and eggs to local agencies.”
  • Brightwater: A Center for the Study of Food approaches food as art, food as wellness, and food as business to offer an entirely unique approach to the culinary arts. Our goal is to develop leaders who combine culinary skills with the ability to recognize and address complex food issues. In addition to artisanal food, culinary arts, pastry and baking, and beverage management, we offer courses with a focus on culinary nutrition, food waste reduction, and food security. Special classes in applied farming, seasonal cooking, and the art of fermentation are among the many one-of-a-kind classes that can be found at Brightwater. Simply put, our goal is to provide world-class training for individuals, students, and professionals at any point on their journey into the world of food”
