RCACC Position Description and Process

The Research Chefs Association Certification Commission (RCACC) is a certifying body, which operates outside the structure of, but on behalf of, the Research Chefs Association (RCA). The Research Chefs Association is made up of individuals who work in food product research or development and associated areas.

The role of the Commission is to promulgate policies, procedures, and criteria, which will enhance the certification process. In addition, RCACC is responsible for evaluating individuals to determine the degree to which each complies with the eligibility criteria for RCACC certification.

You will receive an email confirming your submission. Upon completion of the review of your application, you will be contacted by an RCA staff member or current member of the commission to schedule a phone interview.

Commission member terms are three (3) years; Public Member term is one (1) year; Nominee should be an RCA member in good standing with a culinary and/or food service background. Duties and/or roles are assumed at the end of the Spring meeting. Commission will physically meet at least twice per fiscal year and at additional times by conference call – the spring meeting is after the Annual Conference and fall meeting is usually October. Time and place will be agreed upon in advance.
