RCA’s Exclusive Professional Development Program
Career Clarity is a professional development program created exclusively for the Research Chefs Association. Unlike typical career planning programs, RCA’s Career Clarity was built to address the unique career aspirations of food scientists, corporate chefs, R&D professionals and other individuals in food innovation world.
RCA spent countless hours interviewing numerous RCA members and non-members across all career stages, from entry-level to the C-suite. In this work, RCA discovered that many organizations do not offer career development programs designed specifically for food innovation professionals. In particular, C-suite executives expressed a strong desire to offer their high-potential employees career training opportunities, but complained about the lack of appropriate programs that address their unique needs.
RCA addresses this critical need with Career Clarity, the industry’s first professional development program designed specifically for food innovation professionals to help them navigate a satisfying and fulfilling career. Career Clarity was built in collaboration with Kinetic 12, and sessions are taught by Tim Hand from Kinetic 12 along with RCA leaders.
Introduction to Career Clarity
The first Career Clarity workshop is called Introduction to Career Clarity. The next workshop takes place on Thursday, July 15. In this 90-minute program, participants will be introduced to the RCA Professional Development Model, which describes the domains and competencies for career success from the perspective of the food innovation professional. Participants will use the model to identify their own career development needs, and will construct their first draft personal development plan.
Upon completion of Introduction to Career Clarity, participants will be ready for a deeper dive into the competencies needed for career success – which will be offered in a series of Career Clarity workshops designed to build a comprehensive career development plan.
Join us on Thursday, July 15 for RCA’s Introduction to Career Clarity. Once registered, you will receive a Career Clarity Workbook which describes the RCA Professional Development Model along with a homework assignment to prepare for the session.
Registration for Introduction to Career Clarity is $100 for RCA members and $175 for non-members.
