Proposed Bylaws Updates and Revisions


The RCA bylaws were adopted in March 1998 and amended in October 2006. After close examination and thoughtful discussion, the RCA Board of Directors, under advisement of RCA's legal counsel, are proposing a collection of revisions to the bylaws that provide further clarification as well as updates to reflect the association's current state.

Comment Period

We are holding a comment period regarding the proposed updated bylaws from December 29, 2017 through February 25, 2018. During this comment period, members will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback regarding the proposed updated bylaws.

Virtual Town Hall

We held a virtual town hall meeting at noon CT on January 30, 2018. This was an opportunity for RCA members to hear from RCA Board members and leaders about the proposed amendments and ask questions in real time.

In-Person Vote

Voting to approve the proposed updated bylaws will occur at the RCA Annual Business Meeting on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the RCA Conference in Savannah, Georgia.

If you haven't registered to attend the RCA Conference, click here to register



If approved at the RCA Annual Business Meeting, the updated bylaws will be adopted and replace the current bylaws upon close of the RCA Annual Business Meeting on Tuesday, March 27, 2018.
