RCA New York/Philadelphia: November Month of Giving Back
As Research Chefs Association members, giving back is at the core of who we are. Our work goes beyond creating flavors and products—it’s about nourishing communities and making a meaningful impact on a larger scale. Supporting food banks and donating our time is one way we live out that mission.
Join the Greater NY/Philly Metro Region as we participate in the organization’s annual Month of Giving Back with the Community Food Bank of New Jersey (CFBNJ)! This is an exciting opportunity to donate your time by helping to sort food, assemble food boxes, pack pasta, or prep food to be distributed to network partners and members of the community their Hillside warehouse. Volunteers will be assigned to specific activities upon arrival and know that your $20 registration will be part of the $500 our region will be donating to CFBNJ. Because space is very limited, there is a 2-person cap for registering.

Once you register for this event, you will receive a link with further information on how to get registered through the CFBNJ website.
· Every volunteer must register on the CFBNJ website at least 24 hours before the shift. You will be emailed a link after you register for this event
· All volunteers must wear close-toed shoes during our volunteer shift.
· Tank tops and shorts are not allowed.
· Volunteers must be at least 12 years old (12-15 must be accompanied by an adult).
· Volunteering from 9:00 am - 11:00 am sorting food
Can’t attend the event? Along with donating time, DONATING FOOD is another powerful way to make a direct impact on the fight against hunger. Prior to COVID the majority of food we distributed was donated, but that is no longer true. We now have to purchase more food to meet the increased need. Any items that you would like to bring to CFBNJ from our list of most-needed foods would be so greatly appreciated. If you have items at home and you're unsure if they are still acceptable to donate, please visit this site for a shelf-life guide. You will be able to place your items in the food donation bin outside the Volunteer Center.
Cut off for registration for this event will be Monday, November 10th.
